Ex- Chief of Naval staff Rear Admiral Mohammad Mohaiminul Islam passed away at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in the city on Tuesday night. He was 79.
He had been suffering from kidney ailment for long. He got admitted in CMH with corona disease on July 1 last.
He was buried at Banani Army Graveyrard in the city after Namaz-e-Janaza held at Navy Headquarters Mosque in the city after Asr prayers on Wednesday.
Mohaiminul completed his graduation course from the Naval Command College of USA.
