Former vice president of Jessore District Chhatra League was shot to death by miscreants at Gulgolla area of the city on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Monwar Hossain Imon, 32, son of Anowar Hossain of Bejpara Gulgolla area.
Imon was shot by miscreants on Saturday around 11.00 pm when he was playing with his friend at Gulgolla Chattar, said AKM Ajmal Huda, Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Police Station. Later, he was taken to Jessore General Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead on the way. However, Police couldn’t identify culprits immediately, OC added.
