A Dhaka court on Tuesday sentenced four persons, including a former army officer, in an arms case.
Dhaka Third Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge Rabiul Alam delivered the verdict.
The convicts are Col Shahidul Islam Khan, his wife Farzana Anjum Khan, Sayed Akidul Islam and Khorshed Alam.
Of them, Shahidul and his wife are absconding.
According to the case statement, on January 17, 2019, police in a drive recovered guns and bullets from the house of the former army official in Dhaka’s DOHS.
Later, a case was filed with Cantonment Police Station in this connection.
