Awami League (AL) former MP Nurul Islam B. Sc’s nephew Obaidul Haque was shot dead in the capital’s Kalabagan area early Saturday.
The victim identified as Obaidul Haque, 35, was the manager of Kwality Ice Cream Company, police said.

said that three miscreants riding on a bike shot Obaidul in his head around 12:45am and fled the scene, leaving him critically injured.The critically injured Obaidul was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where he died around 2:30am under treatment, the police official said.
The body was handed over to the relatives after autopsy at DMCH, the OC said.
A case was filed in this connection with the police station, he added.
