Ex-ACC official sued in Benapole

The authority of Benapole customs has filed a case against former deputy director of Anti Corruption Commission Ahsan Ali on charge of revenue deception of Tk 2, 02, 00,708 against a total of 31 consignments of imported goods. GM Ashraful Islam, assistant revenue officer, Benapole customs house filed the case with Benapole port police station on Wednesday. Revenue official GM Ashraful Islam revealed the information at a press conference held at Benapole on Wednesday. In the press conference, the official told that the former ACC official did the act by his business firms Ritu International and ZH Corporation. ‘To do the job unabated the former ACC official used his designation,’ the press conference added, ‘he also registered false allegations against the Benapole customs commissioner to concerned authorities.’ Mamun Khan, officer in-charge, Benapole port police station confirmed the information filing the case against Ahsan Ali.
