Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) on Sunday started eviction drives against 109 identified risky buildings.
DSCC Mayor Mohammad Sayeed Khokon led the eviction drives from the Dhalpur sweeper colony of the city. The officials have broken a risky building in the colony.
The Mayor said, they will continue to evict all the risky buildings under his jurisdiction.
“DSCC has started the eviction drives today. We will evict all the government and private owned identified risky establishments, including Banalata and New Super Market buildings within three to six months,” the Mayor said.
He said also that the officials had been directed to complete the eviction programme within the deadline.
