Everything is prepared to stage JB Group Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). The inaugural ceremony will be held in Chittagong on July 20 while the opening match will be held at the MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong on July 24. Noted artist Momtaz Begum, the Brand Ambassador of JB Group BPL Football will render songs in the inaugural ceremony. Besides, logo-unveiling, trophy-un-veiling, jersey un-veiling will be held at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the city on July 18.
Regarding the mega football extravaganza, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) House on Thursday.
Senior Vice-President of Bangladesh Football Federation and Chairman of the Professional Football League Committee of BFF Abdus Salam Murshedy, General Secretary of BFF Md Abu Nayeem Shohag, Deputy Chairman of the Professional Football League Committee of BFF Shawkat Ali Khan Jahangir and Chairman of Saif Global Sports Limited Tarafder Md Ruhul Amin were present at the press conference. Besides, Coaches, Managers and Captains of the four participating teams spoke to the journalists.
Abdus Salam Murshedy said, ” Seven venues are prepared to stage the matches of BPL They are: Bangabandhu National Stadium, MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong, Barisal, Mymensingh, Rajshahi, Sylhet and Gopalganj. A total of 12 teams will compete in the BPL.”
Coach of Arambagh Krira Sangha Zahidur Rahman Milon said, ” Our target is to achieve a good result. We want to take place in top five teams.”
Captain of Arambagh Md Mitul Hasan said, ” Our target is to be champions in the BPL.”
Coach of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra Abdul Kaiyum Sentoo said, ” We are good outfit. We want to gain fifth or sixth place.
Captain of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Saidul Haque said, ” We have got a good Coach. We shall try to give cent percent effort.”
Manager of Brothers Union Limited Amer Khan said, ” Our target is to achieve a good result. We have appointed a good Coach from Nepal to earn a good result.”
Nepalese Coach of Brothers Bal Goplal Moharaj said, ” I am quite happy with my foreign recruits and local players. I am optimistic. Anything can be happened in a competition.”
Captain of Brothers Ibrar Hossain Komol said, ” We want to present a good football. We have a good combination of senior and junior players.”
Coach of Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited Shafiqul Islam Manik said, ” We have dominated in the last couple of years. We shall try to be champions in the competition.”
Captain of Sheikh Jamal Yasin Khan said, ” We shall try to be champions in the tournament.”
