State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said all the electrification projects need to be implemented in time.
“We will provide electricity to every household within the Mujib Barsha,” he said this on Tuesday while speaking at a review meeting on the progress and implementation of ongoing projects and future course of action regarding the Power Division, Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board, Power Grid Company and Power Cell through a video conference from his residence.
“We need to be adequately prepared to deal with the impending cyclone ‘Amphan’,” he said.
The state minister said that prompt maintenance and repair activities should be ensured for uninterrupted power supply.
He directed the power division to monitor the situation of the possible cyclone ‘Amphan’ round the clock.
Mentioning that 18 people of Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB) were infected with the coronavirus, Nasrul said offices should always remain neat and clean.
