The locals and passerby beat up an eve teaser at Chittagong WASA point in the port city Chittagong on Thursday morning.
Later, they handed over the criminal to the police and police arrested him from the spot at around 9 am. The arrested person is identified as Noyon (30).
Locals and guardians of Bangladesh Women’s Association (BWA) School and College told the journalists that Noyon was trying to violate a student of BWA School and College when she was going to class in morning shift.
The victim shouted and locals gathered at the spot nearby BWA School and College.
Locals and guardians beat up him and called police. Police arrested Noyon from the spot. The guardians of the BWA School and College demanded exemplary punishment to eve teaser Noyon.
Later, a mobile court sentenced him for one year in this connection.
