A 3-days training programme on”Generate your Business Idea” as part of “Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) Programme of ILO” came to an end at Bangladesh Bank Training Academy on Wednesday.
The training programme has been conducted by European Union funded INSPIRED project – component 1 & 2b which is managed by the Ministry of Industries, in close collaboration with International Labour Organisation (ILO) – Country office for Dhaka, Woman Entrepreneur Association of Bangladesh (WEAB), Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BWCCI), Association of Women Entrepreneur (AWE) with the support of Bangladesh Bank Training Academy.
Selected women entrepreneurs from numerous districts and divisions of Bangladesh participated in the training programme. The motive behind this training programme was to nurture their knowledge on how to expand their existing business, as well as on how to begin a new business with their unused resources and experiences.
On Wednesday, 20th April 2016, the last day of the training, a certificate distribution ceremony was held followed by a press conference.
Md. Safiqul Islam, Managing Director, SME Foundation, graced the event as Chief Guest, and prominent leaders of women associations graced the occasion as honourable guests. Other guests at the closing ceremony included Md Abdul Hamid, General Manager, Bangladesh Bank Training Academy; Francis De Silva, Senior Specialist BSEP Project- ILO Dhaka; Dr. Rubina Husain, Managing Director &Center Head, Institute of Hotel Management & Hospitality; and Ali Sabet, Team Leader, European Union funded INSPIRED project.
