Five days after US Ambassador Marcia Bernicat’s meeting with Khaleda Zia, European Union Ambassadorin Dhaka Pierre Mayaudon called on the BNP Chairperson on Monday.
The meeting was held at Khaleda’s Gulshan office around 5pm.
There was no briefing from either side about the meeting.
Meanwhile, several BNP leaders who attended the meeting said various issues, including Bangladesh’s latest political situation, next general election, new Election Commission and human rights situation, came up for discussions at the meeting.

Chowdhury, and BNP Chairperson’s adviser Reaz Rahman were present at the meeting.
Earlier on February 22, Bernicat met the BNP chief when they discussed a wide range of issues relating to Bangladesh politics and matters of mutual interest of the two countries.
