Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) of Eastern University (EU) celebrated the EEE Day 2018 on Thursday in a festive mode. The daylong program was inaugurated by Engr Kh. Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Chairman – Board of Trustees, EU.
Prof Dr Md. Nurul Islam, Vice Chancellor was the chief guest at the program and Engr Tafiz Uddin, Chief Engineer, Dhaka Power Distribution Company Ltd was the Guest of Honor. Prof Dr Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, and Prof Dr Md. Aynal Haque, Advisor, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, and Professor, Department of EEE, BUET were the special guests. The program was chaired by Prof Dr Mirza Golam Rabbani, Chairperson, Department of EEE, EU.
A seminar title ‘Prospects of Engineering Studies and Research Trends of Energy Systems in Australia’ was held where Kazi Saiful Alam, Research Assistant, Energy Systems Research Group, University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia was the resources person of the seminar.
A colorful rally was brought out from the university, which marched different roads of Dhaka. A large number of students of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering participated in the rally.
The day-long program included seminar series, Career Exam Contest, Idea Contest, EEE Project Fair, Workshop on AutoCAD and SolidWorks, Sports and Games events, and a cultural program.
