Participants at a human chain programme on Sunday in Barisal protesting ethnic cleansing of the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar’s Rakhine state demanded sheltering them in Bangladesh.
They also accused the Myanmarese government, its allies, and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi of being directly involved in the “genocide”.
The participants demanded withdrawal of Nobel Prize for Peace awarded to Suu Kyi for her “reluctance to stopping the massacre.”
.The programme was organised by ‘Barisaler Sarbostarer Olamaye Keram O Touhidi Janata’ in front of Ashwini Kumar Hall.
At the end of the programme they also offered munazat (prayer) before the Almighty Allah for help to save the Rohinga Muslims.
