The people of Bhola living in Dhaka on Friday demanded to establish a public university and a medical college hospital to accelerate the overall development of Bhola.
They also demanded to take proper initiative to save the largest island of Bangladesh from river erosion.
They said this at a human chain in front of the National Press Club under the banner of “General People of Bhola.”
About two hundred people took part in the human chain.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Vikings Limited AKM Nizamul Islam presided over the programme while former president of Dhaka University Journalists’ Association M M Jasim was present as the chief guest.
Dhaka University students Jahirul Islam, Rabiul Alam and Riaz Uddin, and Jahangirnagar University student Antar, among others spoke the programme.
