Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB), a state trade organization has starting of selling some essentials since 15th May, 2017 (Monday).
Prices of essentials commodities including suger, rice, salt, fish, vegetables, meat, chieck peas. Price of rice and some spices are on the rise in the kitchen market of Kishoreganj town and 13 upazilas of the district ahead of the upcoming holy Ramzan.
Whole-sellers are allegedly increasing prices by creating artificial crisis mounts sufferings to the people.
Traders are increasing prices on the plea of heavy rainfull, floods and storms which caused severe damage to crops at haor areas.
TCB started to sell suger, chhola, dal and soyabean oil through 811 distributors by 185 trucks throughout the country.
District Administration arranged a meeting with Business Community held at local collectorate conference room on Sunday noon with Deputy Commissioner Md. Azimuddin Biswas in the chair.
It was addressed among others by ADC (General) Torafder Md. Akhter Jamil, CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito, Senior Megistrate Shohana Nasreen, N.D.C Shamima Yesmin, Assistant Director Md. Ibrahim Hossion, Chamber Director Paritosh Pall, Sadar Awami League President Adv Ataur Rahman, Senior Medical Officer of Civil Surgeon Office Dr. Imran Hossain, Additional D.L.O Dr. Bahadur Ali, District Agri-Marketing Officer Md. Abul Kashem and Pourashava Sanitary Inspector Modina Akter.

This year dal and chola were brought from Australia. The traders who will create artificial crisis, strem action will be taken against them.
