Ershad wants to run for 3 seats

Jatiya Party chief HM Ershad has bought three nomination forms for the Dhaka-17, Rangpur-4, and Satkhira-4 constituencies on his own party ticket ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections.
He launched the sale of Jatiya Party nomination forms at the Emmanuelle’s Convention Centre in Gulshan on Sunday. Later he bought three nomination forms.
Raushon Ershad, JP faction leader and former first lady, bought nomination forms for Mymensingh-4.
After launching the sale, the JP party chief said they are ready to take power. He urged Jatiya Party leaders and activists to buy more nomination forms.
“We are prepared to take power. We had have to tolerate many waves of strives. Today a new journey has begun. We will definitely win the polls if have the cooperation of all,” he said.
Raushon Ershad, the leader of the opposition in parliament, also urged for everyone’s support in the upcoming polls.
“We want another mandate to serve the nation. We will contribute to the development of the country after winning the election,” she said.
Jatiya Party Secretary General Ruhul Amin Howlader bought two nomination forms for Patuakhali-1 and Patuakhali-4 constituencies on the first day of sales.
M Quader, the younger brother of Ershad and the co-chairman of the party, also bought a nomination form for Lalmonirhat-4 constituency.
Jatiya Party lawmakers Sayed Abu Hossain Babla, Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu, Faisal Chishti and several top leaders have collected forms. The price of the JP forms has been fixed at Tk 20,000.
