A mobile court of Environment Department, Chittagong imposed penalty to Epic properties Ltd- a apartment developer of the port city with Tk.4 lakh for illegal cutting of hills within the city area.
The declaration of penalty was announced at the DOE office in Chittagong after hearing the case yesterday .
This was known from the source of a press release The r elease said Epic properties authority without permission of DOE taken earth from a hill of south pahartali in city by cutting hills which was proved in the hearing, sources said.
