Envoys of 15 countries visit restoration site at historic Sonargaon

Envoys of 15 countries and their spouses on Saturday visited restoration work of Bangladesh Folk Arts and Crafts Foundation (BFACF) at historic Baro Sardarbari of Sonargaon in Narayanganj.
Prime Minister’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs Dr Gawher Rizvi led the delegation to the restoration site.
Korea Export Processing Zone (KEPZ) Chairman and former ambassador Jahangir Sa’dat was the main initiator of the programme.
BFACF Director Rabindra Gop delivered a speech to the guests.
The envoys included South Korean Ambassador Lee Yun-young, French Ambassador Sophie Aubert, Denmark Ambassador Hanne Fugl Eskjaer, European Union Ambassador Pierre Mayaudon, Italian Ambassador Mario Palma, Bhutanese Ambassador Pema Choden, Malaysian High Commissioner Norlin Othman, Canadian High Commissioner Benoit-Pierre Laramee, Russian Federation Ambassador Alexander A. Nikolaev, Egyptian Ambassador Mahmoud Yehia Mohamed, Japanese Deputy Mission Chief Takeshi Matsuraga, Singaporean Consulate Darry Lao, Korean Consul Hyun-joo Kim, Netherlands Charge D’ Affairs Martine van Hoogstraten and Indonesian embassy Second Secretary Fitri Preganti.
