A Dhaka court yesterday placed Gendaria Thana Awami League Vice-President Enamul Haque Enu and his brother Joint Secretary of AL Rupon Bhuiyan on six days’ remand each in a case filed under the Money Laundering Act.

A Dhaka court yesterday placed Gendaria Thana Awami League Vice-President Enamul Haque Enu and his brother Joint Secretary of AL Rupon Bhuiyan on six days’ remand each in a case filed under the Money Laundering Act.
Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jashim of Dhaka CMM Court passed
the order after rejecting their bail plea on Monday. On February 25, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-3 conducted a drive in the Old Dhaka’s 119, Lalmohon Shaha Street and recovered around Tk 26.55 crore and huge gold ornaments from a house. Besides, RAB-3 found FDR of more than Tk 5 crore from the house. Enu is also a Director of Dhaka Wonderers’ Club.
