Md Abdur Rashid Khan, Chief Engineer, Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) has asked the engineers to complete all development works within the schedule.
He also asked the officials concerned to ensure full implementation of all projects under the current Annual Development Program (ADP).
The Chief Engineer also stressed the need for maintaining high quality of works of LGED projects.
“We should ensure the quality of the works of LGED. We cannot compromise with the quality of construction works. So we should work with more sincerity and transparency,” said Abdur Rashid Khan.
The LGED Chief Engineer Abdur Rashid Khan stated this at a day-long review meeting on the progress of various development activities under 28 ongoing projects of LGED in 6 districts and 56 upazilas of Rangpur division held at RDRS Begum Rokeya Auditorium on Friday morning.
LGED Additional Chief Engineer Mosle Uddin, Rangpur Division Additional Chief Engineer Abdul Malek Sarkar, Additional Chief Engineer Ali Akhter Hossain, ANM Enayet Ullah, Headquarters Dhaka Supervising Engineer Shahidul Islam, Rangpur Region Supervising Engineer Abu Md. Sahriar, Rangpur Executive Engineer Rezaul Haque and all the executive engineers and Upazila engineers of the department were present at the review meeting.
Earlier, LGED Chief Engineer cut the ribbon and offered prayers at Rangpur after inaugurating LGED hall and planting trees.
