My younger brother Md. Zakir Hossain, a resident of Journalist Residential Area under Pallavi thana, Mirpur, Dhaka, has now been living abroad for security reason. He still fears to return as the miscreants are now threatening me of dire consequences. I informed it to the nearest police station but to no avail.
The miscreants filed a number of manufactured cases against Zakir with Keraniganj and Palllabi thanas, accusing him of snatching, vandalism and clashes even though he is staying abroad. Zakir was once kidnapped on 15.12.2010 as he refused to pay tolls. I freed him through negotiation and he filed a general diary with Pallabi thana on 18.12.10. It is really a pity that a bona fide citizen of the country cannot live in his own country and the police is unable to trace the culprits.
I, therefore, request the ministry of home, DMP and Pallabi thana to take appropriate action against the miscreants and thus to ensure security of the members of the public.
