Enhancing technology skills to survive underscored

Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur Professor Dr Md Hasibur Rashid has said enhancing technology skills is a must to survive by facing the tough challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
“The students should focus on enhancing their technological skills,” he said this recently while addressing a farewell reception of the outgoing students of the Department of Sociology for the 2016-2017 academic year as the chief guest.
The Department of Sociology of BRUR organized the function at the Gallery Room of the Department of Political Science of the university, reports BSS.
Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the university Md Shariful Islam attended the function as special guest with Head of the Department of Sociology Mohammad Ilias in the chair.

Director (In-charge) of the Office of the Student Affairs of the university Md Nuruzzaman Khan, teachers, students, officers and employees of the Department of Sociology were present.
The VC greeted the farewell students of the Department of Sociology with crests.
Addressing the outgoing students of the Department of Sociology, Professor Rashid wished them success in the future and called upon them to contribute to the development of the country.
“You will be successful in workplaces by utilizing the knowledge, talent and skills gained from the university education,” he said, and suggested focusing on enhancing their technical skills.
