Engr Mosharraf’s surprise visit to Jamboree Park

Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain made a surprise visit to the much-talked about Jamboree Park at Agrabad area in the port city yesterday (September 14).
He walked for almost one hour and exchanged views with the people doing morning exercise. He sought suggestions from them on what new can be added to the park.
Afterwards, the minister gave a set of instructions of keeping the park clean, Public Works Department Executive Engineer Ahmed Abdullah Noor told The New Nation .
Mosharraf Hossain also directed the authority to run campaign using mike for raising awareness among the visitors, about cleanliness of the park.  
The minister also suggested to rear pigeon here. “A decision has been taken to keep the park open since 5:30am to10am and 3pm to 8pm every day,” said Ahmed Abdullah Noor.
However, the park constructed in Agrabad on 8.55 acres of land and with a 50,000 square feet water body, has 8,000 metres of walkways.
The park opened on Sept 8 has objectives of providing people an open place with fresh air, wide & long jogging track and mental serenity too.
