Engineer AKM Momtaj Uddin has joined Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) as its Director General (DG) on November 26 last. Prior to this he was Additional Director General of its east zone.
He obtained BSc. in Civil Engineering and MSc.in Water Resource Engineering from BUET in 1982 and 1988 respectively.
He participated in seminars and symposia in different countries including Japan, France, Germany, Sri Lanka, America, Australia, Brazil and Thailand.
He was born in an aristocratic Muslim family at Sheikhpara village in Joypurhat on January 12 in 1959.
