Bandarban regional commander of army Brigadier General M Sayeed Siddique said primary level English medium school would be set up in Bandarban Cantonment area.
To construct the school building, a fund of Taka one crore was sanctioned and the building would be completed in 2015, he said.
The army regional commander said this at a view exchange meeting with the local journalists on Tuesday at conference room of Bandarban Press Club.
With president of the club Prof M Osman Gani in the chair, the meeting was also addressed, among others, by Bandarban BGB sector commander colonel AKM Saif, sadar zone commander Lt. col. Irfanul Islam Khan, brigade Major Masiur Rahman and former president of press club M Badsah Mia.
