BAF Shaheen English Medium School beat BAF Shaheen College of Shamsher Nagar of Sylhet by 4-2 goals in the day’s first match of the Walton 1st Inter-Shaheen College Hockey Tournament at the BAF Shaheen College Dhaka Ground on Sunday.
In the day’s other match, host BAF Shaheen College Dhaka made a 4-4 draw with BAF Shaheen College of Jessore at the same venue.
A total of seven BAF Shaheen College teams are competing in the hockey tournament. They are: BAF Shaheen College Dhaka, BAF Shaheen College of Kurmitola, BAF Shaheen College of Chittagong, BAF Shaheen College of Jessore, BAF Shaheen College of Pahar Kanchanpur of Tangail, BAF Shaheen College of Shamsher Nagar of Sylhet and BAF Shaheen English Medium School.
The champions of the tournament will get Tk 25,000 while the runners-up of the meet will receive Tk 15,000 as prize-money.
The best player of the tournament and the highest scorer of the competition will be awarded Tk 5,000 each.
