England registered their 2nd successive victory in the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup beating West Indies by 61 runs in their Group-C match at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Friday.
Chasing a target of 283 runs, West Indies ended at 221 for all in 43.4 overs, despite piling two big partnership of 90 and 84 runs in the 6th and 3rd wicket.
Keemo Paul and Jyd Goolie played a painstaking 17-over in the 6th wicket for 90 runs to carry the team total to 6-193/6 in 40 overs from 103/5 in 23 overs.
Paul topscored 65 off 58 balls including seven boundaries and one six before being caught by George Bartlett off Saqib Mahmood delivery at 221/9 in 43.3 overs.
The 3rd pair of 84 between Gidron Pope and Keacy Carty came off 17.2 overs before GD Pope was bowled out by Dan Lawrence at 84/3 in 18 overs.
GD Pope hammered run-a-ball 60 featuring six boundaries and three over boundaries.
JU Goolie was out for 27 runs off 57 balls while KU Carty (22 off 53b; 1×4) and Shamar Springer (16 off 16b; 3×4) were the other double figure scorers for West Indies.
S Mahmood grabbed four wickets for 42 runs in 8.4 overs. Sam Curran and Dane Lawrence took two wickets each for 23 and 38 runs in 7 and 10 overs.

GA Bartlett fell short of two-run for half century as he was bowled out by Shamar Springer scoring 48 off 62 with one four and one six.
Number three batsman Jack Burnham scored 44 off 55 balls four boundaries and two sixes while SC Curran added 39 off 36 balls including three boundaries and one six.
Gidron Pope bagged two wickets for 45 runs in nine overs. Keemo Paul, Alzarri Joseph, Michael Frew and Shamar Springer took one wicket each for 24, 34, 37 and 42 runs in five, 10, six and five overs.
