A gun fight took place between Coast Guard and Boromia Bahini at Horintana Canal of Sundarban on Tuesday night and continued upto 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
At one stage, the robbers retreated and CG recovered an engine trawler, nine round fresh bullet and four fishermen who were taken by robber for ransom.
CG West Zone Operation Officer Lt. Commander M Faridujjaman told the newsmen that CG got information that the pirate kidnapped some fishermen ,demanded ransom and waiting at Horintana Canal of the Sundarban. On the basis of this secret information , CG started operation at late hours of Tuesday night .
