Enayetullah Khan invited to join Hague Summit for Accountability & Internet Democracy

Enayetullah Khan, Editor-in-Chief and Chief Executive of United News of Bangladesh (UNB) and Dhaka Courier, and Board Member of AAID, has been invited to join the “Hague Summit for Accountability & Internet Democracy – Shaping an Internet of Values”.
The Summit is scheduled to be held today at the Peace Palace, The Hague, the Netherlands. The City of The Hague and the Institute for Accountability and Internet Democracy (IAID) in partnership with the UNESCO, the ITU and the Association for Accountability and Internet Democracy (AAID) will host the Summit.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations Kasja Ollongren will open the summit. Invited international dignitaries include Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of UNESCO, Houlin Zhao, Secretary General of the ITU and Lord David Puttnam, member House of Lords, UK and other prominent members of the AAID Board, Danish Minister Tom Hoyem, former German Justice Minister Sabine Leutheusser-Schnarrenberger, French Senator Nathalie Goulet, Alvaro Gil-Robles, first commissioner of Human Rights with the European Council.
The Hague Summit will explore the question of how to safeguard the role of the internet as a tool for personal and social engagement.
Delegates at the Summit will work towards developing concrete steps to increase access to knowledge, transparency, global common understanding, evidence-based trust and accountability, and thus to promote maximum sustainable net benefit for people and societies worldwide.
