Mohammad Enayet Ullah and Salim Rahman have been re-elected as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of Executive Commitee of the Board of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd respectively. They were elected unanimously in the 306th meeting of the Board recently, says a media release.
According to the decision of the meeting they will continue their new responsibilities untill the next AGM of the Bank.
Chairman Mohammad Enayet Ullah is one of the founder directors of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. He is a prominent industrialist and businessman from Dhaka. He also is the president of Moulvi Bazar Merchant Association and Bangladesh Whole Sale Spices Merchant Association. He is a ‘Hafez’ in the Holy Quran. Hafez Mohammad Enayet Ullah is a great humanitarian involved in many social welfare activities.
Vice Chairman Salim Rahman hailed from a respectable Muslim family of Chittagong. His father Khalilur Rahman is a prominent businessman and founder of KDS Group, one of the largest industrial groups of the country.
Currently Salim Rahman is the Managing Director of KDS Group, which consists of KDS Garments Industries Ltd., KDS Accessories ltd., KDS Apparels Ltd., KDS IDR Ltd., KDS Textiles Ltd., KYCR Coil Industries Ltd., Steel Accessories Ltd., KDS Poly Industries Ltd. He held the position of Director of another private bank for 15 years before joining as Director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited. Salim is an MBA on Business Administration from the USA.
