Emran Shuvro (Manabzamin) and Humayun Kabir Jibon (New Age) were elected as president and General Secretary of the Islamic University Journalist’s Association (IUJA).
The election was held in the university’s press corner of Birsherstha Hamidur Rahman auditorium on Wednesday. Islamic University (IU) Director of Public Relation Md Ataul Hoque announced the election result as the chief election commissioner.
The others office bearers are- Vice-President Mahfuz Mishu (Ittefaq) and Saifullah Himel (Nayadiganta), Joint Secretary Irfan Mahmud Rana (Dinkal), Treasurer Ashikur Rahman Boni (Jaijaidin), Office Secretary Humayun Kabir Shuvo (Bangladesh Post), Publicity Secretary Atikur Rahman Onny (Manob Kantha) and Literature and Cultural Secretary Al-Kowsar (Alokito Bangladesh), executive members Emanul Shohan (Rtv online), M Shahedul Islam (New Nation) and Shahab Uddin Oshim (Observer).
