The employment opportunism in the port city increases by 179 % within the last one decade , About 19.68 lakh employees are working in 3.80 establishments in Chittagong . Out of the total establishments, there are 2.82 lakh permanent establishments.
Deputy Director of district office of Bangladesh Statistics Bureau Md. Mohiuddin Ahmed disclosed it while addressing the function arranged for publishing the data of economic census of the district at district administration office yesterday.
Joint Director of Divisional Office of the Bureau, Md. Emdadul Hoque presided the function. Divisionalcommissioner of Chittagong Md.Ruhul Amin graced the occasion. Deputy commissioner of chittagong Md. Shamsul Arefin and Director of BSB Md. Abdul Kader Miah were the special guest in it, sources said.
