Emirates introduces fourth daily flight to Dhaka

Emirates on Monday declared that it would add a new daily flight between Dhaka and Dubai considering the increasing trend of Bangladesh’s international travellers.
“The fourth daily flight will be operated from next June by a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with 42 business class and 310 economy class seats,” Emirates’ Bangladesh Country Manager Saeed Abdulla Miran told reporters in Dhaka.
Emirates that holds highest market share of international air travellers of Bangladesh as a foreign carrier now operates three daily flights on Dubai-Dhaka-Dubai sector.
The fourth flight EK588 will leave Dubai at 22:30 and arrive in Dhaka at 5:20 next day while the return flight EK589 will depart Dhaka at 08:00 and arrive in Dubai at 11:00.
The new flight has been carefully timed to create convenient connections for Bangladeshi travellers to several popular cities including London, Rome, Frankfurt, Porto, New York, Washington D.C., Mexico City, Johannesburg and Cape Town, Miran said.
The country manager said the new flight will create additional 2462 seats and 280 tonnes of cargo weekly and raise the Emirates weekly passenger capacity to nearly 10,000 and cargo to 1,100 tonnes.
