Vice Chancellor of the Bangladesh Agriculture University (BAU) Prof Dr Rafiqul Haque resigned on Tuesday following a month of agitation by a section of teachers. ”I’ve already sent my resignation letter to the ministry concerned tonight (Tuesday night),” Prof Dr Rafiqul told UNB over phone. A section of teachers of the university under the banner of ‘Ganotantrik Shikkhak Forum’ had been on a movement for over a month demanding resignation of Dr Rafiqul Haque for his alleged irregularities and corruption. — Mymensingh, Apr 7 (UNB)
