Once Elina Shammi was engaged with teaching where noted singer Timir Nandi was her colleague. Timir Nandi found talent in her during that time. He introduced Elina with noted actor and cultural personality Asaduzzaman Noor at Desh TV office. Then she started her career in media through anchoring the show Durpath in the channel. Elina Shammi is such a person who confesses her past easily. This optimistic and dream-lover actress is coming with her new movie Janowar, directed by Raihn Rafi, which is scheduled to be released on January 15. Shammi played in a leading role, Fatima in the movie. According to the actors of the film, Elina Shammi acted outstandingly well in role of Fatima in the movie. Earlier, Shammi-starrer several numbers of movies were released. But she is very much optimistic about Janowar.
While talking about acting in this movie Elina Shammi said, “This movie has been made based on a true story. After wtaching this movie, if a person wants to change him/herself our efforts will become successful. This movie will give a message to the viewers. In fact, we want our society will become rape free and everybody will become aware in this regard.”
Elina Shammi also said though she was busy with anchoring once but now she concentrates herself with acting. But she hosts show in special days’ programmes. “Devotion and dedication to works, modesty and honesty help me to reach into my goals. It is very necessary to know acting properly and perfectly. It is also necessary to ensure correct pronunciation, delivery of speech and perfectness in presentation for anchoring,” she also said.
Hailed from Khulna, Elina Shammi first acted in Shah Alam Kiron’s movie 71 er Maa Jononi. Later, she also acted in movies Swargo Theke Norok, Amra Ekta Cinema Banabo, Loni, Gontobbyo and 570.
Recently Shammi has confirmed to work in two new movies – Pankaj Palit’s Ekti Na Bola Golpo and Iftekhar Shuvo’s Mukhosh. Now she is regularly acting in NTV’s ongoing serial Porer Meye, Channel i’s Simple er Moddhye Gorgeous and BTV’s serial Locket. July 16 is her birthday.
