A wild elephant was electrocuted while an aged woman was killed in an elephant attack here on Thursday and Friday.
Officer of local forest range Bimol Das said farmers saw the body of an elephant lying on a field at Madartila village of Bajalia near Keranihat road and an electric pole collapsed on earth on Friday morning.
The farmers suspected that the elephant might have died following electrocution. The forest officials later visited the spot on information.
