Election at a factory of Adamjee EPZ was held Thursday in order to form an executive committee of Workers Welfare Association (WWA).
A total of 393 workers of r-Pac Bangladesh Packaging Co Limited cast vote in the election, says a press release.
Nantu Sheikh was elected president while Md Kamruizzaman general secretary and Md Ashraful Islam organising secretary.
A female worker was elected treasurer unopposed since the two male candidates withdrew their candidacy on her honour.
General Manager (public relations) of BEPZA Nazma Binte Alamgir, General Manager of Adamjee EPZ Md Ruhul Amin and other high officials of the zone were present during the election.
