bdnews24.com : Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda says election day will be pushed back to Dec 30 amid calls for a deferral from the Jatiya Oikyafront and other opposition parties.
The Election Commission came to a decision to move the polls back by a week at a meeting on Monday morning, Huda said at an exhibition on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) at the Bangabandhu Convention Centre in Dhaka.
The Election Commission will now accept nominations until Nov 28, he added.
