An elderly day-labourer was found dead in Sylhet on Friday morning two days after he went missing.
The deceased was identified as Siraj Uddin, 65, of Ijrapara at Kayasthagram in Golapganj in the Sylhet district, police said.
Relatives of the victim said that Sraj went out of his house to look for a job on Wednesday morning and his family filed a general diary with the police in the night as he did not return home till then. Golapganj police officer-in-charge Mizanur Rahman told that they found the body of Siraj at a filen in Ijrapara of Kayasthagram at around 9:30am after being informed by the locals.
A mark of wound was seen on the shoulder of the body when it was found, he said, adding that the body was sent to Sylhet Osmani Medical College hospital for post mortem examination.
