An elderly man was killed in electrocution at a readymade garments factory at city’s Sagarika area on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Parimal Chandra Dey, 68, a sweeper at ‘Selim and Brothers’, hailed from city’s South Kattoli area of the city..
Parimal was electrocuted after he came in contact with live electricity while working at a factory at Sagarika area under city’s Pahartali thana around 12pm, said Nayek Jahangir Alam of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police outpost.
He was rushed to CMCH where attending doctors declared him dead.
