An old man drowned in a pond in Puthia upazila of Rajshahi district on Monday morning. The deceased was identified as Mozid Ali, 70, son of late Abdul Goni, a resident of Kathalbaria village in the upazila.
The deceased’s family members said, Mozid went for bringing gooses from a pond near his residence. Later, he fell into the pond suddenly and drowned.
Noticing the matter, the family members recovered the deceased’s body.
