An elderly man died as a passenger train rammed into him while walking through the rail line in capital’s Khilkhet area, police said.
Police said Kamlapur-bound a passenger train “Turna Nishita Express” from Chittagong hit the deceased, Pachu Mia, 70, early on Sunday killing him on the spot.
“Police recovered the body at 7:00 am and sent the body to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital,” duty officer of Government Railway Police (GRP) told BSS.
An unnatural (UD) case was lodged with GRP in this connection, he added.
