Younger brother Abu Jafar Shaikh (35) of village Paschim Bahirdia under Fakirhat Upazila in Bagerhat district who was seriously injured in the hands of his elder brother Ahmad Shaikh a few days ago was succumbed to his injuries in Khulna Medica College Hospital on Tuesday at 3 pm, according to a report received here. On Wednesday the dead body was handed over to the family-members of the deceased after completing all the legal procedures.
It is learnt from the locals that a few days ago at noon a quarrel took place between Ahmad Shaikh and his younger brother Jafar Shaikh (of the village) over the land properties and at one stage when the quarrel turned into an armed clashed some five persons of both two families were injured.
