Elder brother and his sons allegedly killed a villager by throarting at Raripara village of Kaliganj upazila on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Nurul Islam, 53 of the village.
Locals said, the feud originated when a furnisher laden truck hired by Nur Islam damaged an electricity line metre of his elder brother Nur Mohammad at about 9.00 OM on Saturday. It angered his younger brother Nur Mohammad and his sons. After an altercation, Nur Mohammad and his sons swooped on Nur Islam and started beating up. They also noosed him to dead on the spot.
Locals rushed Nur Islam to nearby upazila health complex at Kaliganj where the attending physicians at about 11.00 PM declared him dead.
Kaliganj police station officer in charge Amirul Islam said, killer Nur Mohammad and sons were absconding immediate after the killing incident.
