Elaborate programmes taken to celebrate birth anniversary of Bangabandhu

The authorities concerned have finalised elaborate programmes to observe the 94th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children Day-2015 here on March 17.
The district and upazila administrations, Awami League (AL), its front organisations, Bangladesh Shishu Academy, Shilpakala Academy, educational institutions, socio-cultural and professional organisations have chalked out elaborate programmes.
The district administration finalised elaborate programmes to celebrate the day at a meeting held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner on March 8 with Deputy Commissioner Farid Ahammad in the chair.
The heads of all district level government departments and organisations, officials of the district and upazilas administrations, representatives of the socio-cultural, professional, women, non-government and voluntary organisations and law enforcing agencies participated.
Office Secretary of district Awami League (AL) Tauhidur Rahman Tutul, Vice-presidents of city AL Shah Mohammad Nabiullah Panna and Advocate Dilshad Islam Mukul, District Muktijoddha Commander Mosaddek Hossain Bablu, addressed.
The programmes include placing wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu, children’s rallies, processions of the unprivileged children, drawing, handwriting, essay and ready speech competitions, discussions and cultural functions, doa mahfil and special prayers.
BSS from Gaibandha says: Gaibandha district administration has chalked out elaborate programmes to celebrate the 96th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day-2015 tomorrow in a befitting manner.
The programmes include placing wreaths on the portraits of Bangabandhu, bringing out children’s procession, offering prayers at the mosques, temples and churches, holding milad and doa mahfil for the peace of the departed soul of Bangabandhu and arrangement of art, essay and good hand writing competitions.
Besides, various functions on the life and works of the Father of the Nation will be held at schools and colleges of the district at the suitable time. On the occasion, a discussion meeting and cultural function will also be held tomorrow evening at the auditorium of District Shilpakala Academy.
Documentary film-shows based on life and works of Bangabandhu and Liberation War will be screened on the premises of central Shaheed Minar at Gaibandha Poura Park tomorrow.
Improved diet would be served to the children of Government Shishu Paribars of the town by Social Services Department.
Talking to the BSS, DC M. Ehsan-e-Elahi said all out preparations have already been completed to celebrate the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the district amid much enthusiasm.
BSS from Rajshahi reports : Rajshahi people are now ready to observe the 96th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children Day-2015 in the city and its adjacent areas in a befitting manner tomorrow.
Divisional and district administrations, Awami League (AL), its front organisations, Shishu Academy, Bangabandhu Shishu Kishore Mela, socio-cultural and children organisations have chalked out elaborate programmes to observe the anniversary.
BSS from Faridpur adds: The 96th birth day of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day will be observed here in this district tomorrow in a befitting manner as elsewhere across the country.
The program was chalked out in a meeting held recently in the conference room of DC, Faridpur. DC Sardar Sharafat Ali chaired the meeting.
The two day observance program chalked out by the local district administration will begin on March today through displaying mobile cinema show titled ‘Chiranjib'(Immortal) Bangabandhu at various points of the town and also in upazillas. Recitations of poems on Bangabandhu ,art, patriotic song competitions and essay competitions for the school and college students will be held today DC office premises organized by Shishu Academy and district administration.
A milad mahfil exclusively for women will be held at DC’s conference room tomorrow.
Local district administration, political parties, Awami League and its front organizations and various socio-cultural organizations will place floral wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu kept at local Ambica Maidan in the morning.
In the afternoon a colorful rally will be brought out in the town to celebrate the birthday of the Father of the Nation. Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Engineer Khondoker Mosharraf Hossain will participate in the rally.
