The two-week long “Amar Ekushey Book Fair” organised by district administration ended at Narsingdi Government College premises on Friday. State Minister for Water Resources Lt Col (Retd) Nazrul Islam Hiro (Birpratik) addressed the closing session of the fair as the chief guest with Deputy Commissioner of the district Abu Hena Morshed Zaman in the chair. A total of 54 book stalls from different educational institute, libraries, government and non-government organisations and different publishers including three-Kakoli, Adron and Jagriti publishers-from Dhaka were set up in the fair.Earlier, Secretary for Education Ministry Mohammad Shorab Hossain inaugurated the fair as the chief guest on February 13.
