‘Ekti Cinemar Galpo’ has received an uncut censor certificate from the Bangladesh Film Censor Board. Earlier in the middle of this month, the film was submitted to the censor board for the clearance. Produced under the banner of Alamgir’s own production house Icon Entertainment, the film is expected to hit the cinemas on the occasion of Pahela Baishakh this year.
After nearly 32 years, Alamgir and Champa will be seen together in the film, along with new generation’s actor Arifin Shuvo and acclaimed Indian actress Rituparna. Alamgir’s debut directorial venture ‘Nishpap’ featured the pair last time. Besides, Syed Hasan Imam, Sadek Bachchu, Wahida Mallik Jolly, Saberi Alam, Bobby, Jaki Alamgir and others have played different characters in the film.
With acting in this film, popular Indian actress Riturparna Sengupta worked in the Dhaka film industry after a long time too. The shooting of the film started on the premises of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation in the capital on September 9 last year. The shooting of the film completed in two phases.
