Eid-ul-Fitr, the greatest religious festival of the Muslims, was celebrated in different districts on Monday with due religious fervor, gaiety, solemnity and in a befitting manner. Our correspondents and agencies report:
Khulna (South) Correspondent reports: Like other parts of the country, Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the greatest religious festivals of the Muslims, was celebrated in Khulna amid due solemnity, fervor, enthusiasm and festive mood after ending the holy Ramadan, the month of fasting and patience.
The first and main Eid congregation was held at Khulna Town Jame mosque at 8am on Monday where numerous Musallies gathered. Maolana Md. Salehuddin Ahmed conducted the jamaat.
After the ending of the prayer, special Munajat were offered seeking peace and happiness for all the people of the country.
During Munajats after Eid congregations (Jamaats), the Musallies also prayed for divine blessings to help strengthen national unity against all evil acts and destructive activities.
All section of people including different political party leaders, traders and high officials of the administration. Khulna Divisional Commissioner Abdus Samad, Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Aminul Ahsan, Chairman of Khulna District Council and also Khulna district unit president of Awami League Sheikh Harunur Rashid, president of Khulna city unit BNP Md. Nazrul Islam Monju, KCC Mayor and also general secretary of Khulna city unit BNP Md. Moniruzzaman Moni and other officials of administration attended the first Eid congregation.
At 31 wards of Khulna city and nine upazila areas of Khulna district, Eid congregations were held. At Khulna govt. B.L. College central mosque, Khulna University mosque and Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) mosque, Eid congregations were held as well.
Members of law enforcement agencies, including policemen of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) and the members of the Elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-6) have taken foolproof security measures in the city particularly in the places where Eid congregations were held .
However, no untoward incidents were reported from anywhere during the Eid congregations.
Narsingdi Correspondent says: The holy Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated in Narsingdi district on Monday with due religious fervor and festivity.
The main Eid congregation was hold at the callectorate Edgah adjacent to the local DC office under the auspices of the district administration.
Khatib of Collectorate Mosque Mowlana Nasir Uddin led the jamaat.
Leaders of political parties, elite of the town professional joined the congregation.
The other Eid congregations were also held at Datta para Eidgah, Chinishpur Eidgah, Narsingdi Government Collage Eidgah, Police Line Eidgah Ground, Jamea Kashemia Madrasha Eidgah ground, Ranggamaty Eidgh, Shatirpara Eidgh, Baluakandi Madrash Eidgah, Kawarapara Poura Eidgah Ground, Banichal Sapnar Eidgah, Vhalanogar Eidgah, Shaprotab Eidgah Chowalla Eidgah, Birpur Eidgah and Novabbari Poura Eidgah.
Thousands of Muslims offered specal munajat seeking divine blessings and peace of the departed soul and continued peace progress and prosperity of the country and Muslim Ummah.
They also visited to relatives, Friends and neighbors exchange greeting amibst festive mood.
Bagerhat Correspondent reports: After observing fasting for long one month the Muslim community celebrated their biggest religious festival the holy Eid-ul-Fitr in Bagerhat district town and its all the nine Upazilas with due religious fervour and solemnity on Monday as else where of the country.The biggest congregation of the district was held in the historic mosque Saitgaumbaz of great saint Hazrat Peer Khaja Khanjahan Ali (peace be on him), 8 kilometers away from here. Several thousand devotees attended the congregation there from the far and near of the district.
 Al-haj Adv Mir Shawkat Ali Badsha, MP of Bagerhat Sadar Constituency and the President of the Parliamentary Permanent Committee of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock affairs, elites of Bagerhat district town and the high officials performed their Eid-ul-Fitr congregation there. The congregation was also held in the local central (old court ) Jame mosque, Alia Madrsa premises, Mithapu Jame mosque, Nagerbazar Jame mosque, Falpatty jame mosque, Railway Jame mosque, Purtan Bazar Jame mosque, Haji Arif Jame Mosque, Lunch Ghat Jamemosque and other mosques of the district town. After the end of the congregation prayer was offered seeking blessings from Almighty Allah for long life, peace, progress and happiness for the people and their country as well as for the Muslim Ummah.
Gouripur(Mymensingh) Correspondnet reports: The holy Eid-al-Fitr was celebrated with solemnity across Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh district on Monday, June 26, 2017.
 It marks the end of Ramadan, which is a month of fasting and prayer. Many Muslims attend communal prayers, listen to a khutba (sermon) and give zakat al-fitr (charity in the form of food) during Eid-al-Fitr.
Meanwhile, many people from different places came to their village homes to celebrate the festival with their near endear ones.
 The stage was almost set for smooth holding of Eid prayers in the town of Gouripur and elsewhere. The main Eid congregation was held at Khelar Mathh Eidgah Maidan near the Gouripur Stadium around 9:45 am and the second largest congregation in the town was held at Islamabad Madrasha’s playing ground at 10.00 am being looked after by Gouripur Pourashava.
Besides, marking the Eid, Freedom Fighter Alhaj Nazim Uddin Ahmed MP, AL aspirants who bought nomination papers for Mymensingh-3(Gouripur) by-election last year like central leader Krishibid Doctor Shameul Alam Liton, Mayor Syed Rafiqul Islam; former Upazila AL President Freedom Fighter Adv. Abul Kalam Azad; former Upazila Chairman Ali Ahmed Khan Pathhan Salvee; Assist General Secretary of Bangabandhu Foundation Naznin Alam; Adv Muzzamel Huque of Supreme Court greeted party men as well as the Muslims across Gouripur upazila. Leaders of different political and socio cultural organisations in their messages greeted the people.
BSS from Rangpur reports: The Muslims celebrated their greatest religious festival of holy Eid-ul-Fitr amid huge enthusiasm, religious fervour and solemnity amid tight security here on Monday.
 The Musollis attired in traditional Eid dresses participated in over 1,200 Eid-ul-Fitr congregations held at Eidgahs, mosques and grounds in the district.
The law enforcement agencies, including police and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13, Police Investigation Bureau (PIB) took adequate measures to ensure peaceful holding of Eid jamaats in festive atmosphere in all eight districts in the district.
Rangpur City Corporation (RpCC) and authorities concerned decorated the main streets with various colourful flags bearing inscriptions ‘Eid Mubarak’,important government buildings and mosques giving charming looks all around in the city.
Improved diets were served among inmates of different hospitals, jails, shishu paribars, orphanages and vagrant welfare centres allover the division.
The RpCC with assistance of the district and police administrations and other authorities arranged 221 Eid jamaats in all 33 wards of the city amid tight security measures. The main Eid-ul-Fitr congregation was held at the Central Collectorate Eidgah at 8:30 am with participations of thousands of Musollis, including high officials, political leaders and dignitaries of the city.

The biggest Eid-ul-Fitr congregation was held at Taluk Habu Eidgah Maidan under Gangachara upazila where State Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mashiur Rahman Ranga offered Eid prayers.
In the city, Deputy Inspector General for Rangpur Range Khondker Golam Faruk, Police Super Mizanur Rahman and high police officials participated in the Eid congregation held at the Police Line ground at 8:15 am.
The bigger Eid Jamaats were held at Keramotia Jam-e-Mosque, Munshipara
BSS from Narayanganj reports: The Holy Eid-ul-Fitr marking the end of holy month of Ramadan was celebrated here across the district on Monday amid tight security as elsewhere in the country.
The main Eid congregation was held at Jamtola central Eidgah maidan organized by district administration in the morning.
A big pandal was erected over the maidan to protect the devotees from rain and thunder shower. CC TV camera was installed in different spots of the maidan. The devotees were requested to bring prayer mats with them.
Lawmaker of Narayanganj-4 constituency AKM Shamim Osman, Deputy
commissioner Rabbi Miah, Civil surgeon Dr. Ehsanul Hoq, government officials, business men, social workers, teachers, students and elite of the city among several thousand others offered Eid prayer in two congregations peacefully.
The 1st congregation was held at 7.30am led by Moulana Ibrahim Azadi.
After the prayer AKM Shamim Osman, in his speech highlighted the various achievements of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to build Bangladesh a middle income country by 2021 and a developed country 2041. He also urged the youngsters to shun the path of violence and lawlessness. A special prayer was offered for continued peace and prosperity of the country and Muslim ummah. The devotees hugged with each other saying, “Eid Mubarak”. The second congregation was held at 9am led by Moulana Hasan-Uz-Zaman at Eidgah maidan.
The other Eid congregations were held at Narayanganj Police Line where Police Super Moinul Hoq offered his prayer at 10am. Congregations were also held DIT Railway Mosque, Narayanganj City Corporation’s Mosque at Masdair, Kadam Rasul Dargah Sharif Mosque at Bandar.

The main Eid Congregation was held at Central Eidgah Maidan, adjacent to Shah Abdul Hamid Stadium of the town, today at 9 am at the initiative of the district administration.
Gaibandha poura mayor Advocate Shah Masud Jahanagir Kabir Milon, district level officials including, leaders of the political parties, elite of the town, professionals and the journalists joined the congregation spontaneously. Mowlana Mufti Mahmudul Hasan, Khatib of Bara Masjid of the town, conducted the Eid prayers.
Earlier, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Goutam Chandra Pal received the Musillis and exchanged Eid greetings with them at the gate of the Eidga Maidan.
Another big Eid Jamaat was also held at police lines Jame Mosque where superintendent of police (SP) M. Masrukur Rahman Khaled received the Musullis and exchanged Eid greetings.
