The Eid-ul-Fitr, the largest religious festival of the Muslims, was celebrated with due fervour, joy, enthusiasm, gaiety and solemnity on Saturday.
On the Eid Day, streams of people including children rushed to the nearest eidgahs, mosques and open places to offer their Eid prayers braving the inclement weather.
Thousands of musallis at the end of Eidjamaats (congregations) offered special munajats seeking divine blessings and eternal peace of departed souls particularly their near and dear ones, continued peace, progress, and prosperity of the country as well as greater welfare of the Muslim Ummah. Khulna Correspondent reports: Like other parts of the country, Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the greatest religious festivals of the Muslims, was celebrated in Khulna amid due solemnity, fervor, enthusiasm and festive mood after ending the holy Ramzan, the month of fasting and patience on Saturday.
The first and main Eid congregation was held at Khulna Town Jamay mosque at 8am on Monday where numerous Musallies gathered. Maolana Md. Salehuddin Ahmed conducted the jamaat. After the ending of the prayer, special Munajat were offered seeking peace and happiness for all the people of the country.
During Munajats after Eid congregations (Jamaats), the Musallies also prayed for divine blessings to help strengthen national unity against all evil acts and destructive activities.
All section of people including different political party leaders, traders and high officials of the administration.
Alhaj Mizanur Rahman Mizan, MP, Lawmaker of Khulna-2 constituency, KCC Mayor Md. Moniruzzaman Moni, Newly elected Mayor Talukdar Abdul Khalek, Khulna Divisional commissioner Md. Lokman Hossain Mia, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Khulna Aminul Ahsan, administrator of Khulna district council and also Khulna district unit president of Awami League Sheikh Harunur Rashid, president of Khulna city unit BNP Md. Nazrul Islam Monju, Khulna district unit President of BNP Shafiqul Alam Mona and other government & Non-government high officials, industrialists and other persons attended the first Eid congregation.
Bagerhat Correspondent reports: After observing fasting for long one month the Muslim community celebrated their biggest religious festival the holy Eid-ul-Fitr in Bagerhat district town and its all the nine Upazilas with due religious fervour and solemnity on Saturday as else where of the country.
 The biggest congregation of the district was held in the historic mosque Saitgaumbaz of great saint Hazrat Peer Khaja Khanjahan Ali (peace be on him), 8 kilometers away from here. Several thousand devotees attended the congregation there from the far and near of the district. Al-haj Adv. Mir Shawkat Ali Badsha, MP of Bagerhat Sadar Constituency and the President of the Parliamentary Permanent Committee of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock affairs, elites of Bagerhat district town and the high officials performed their Eid-ul-Fitr congregation there. The congregation was also held in the local central (old court ) Jame mosque, Alia Madrsa premises, Mithapukur Jame mosque, Nagerbazar Jame mosque, Falpatty jame mosque, Railway Jame mosque, Purtan Bazar Jame mosque, Haji Arif Jame Mosque, Lunch Ghat Jamemosque, Paschim Basabati Jame mosque and other mosques of the district town. After the end of the congregation prayer was offered seeking blessings from Almighty Allah for long life, peace, progress and happiness for the people and their country as well as for the Muslim Ummah.
Gouripur( Mymensingh) Correspondent says: The holy Eid-ul-Fitr, the first day of the Islamic month of Shawwal and the first largest religious festival of the Muslim Ummah, was celebrated with solemnity across Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh district on Saturday.
 It marks the end of Ramzan, which is a month of fasting and prayer. Many Muslims attend communal prayers, listen to a khutba (sermon) and give zakat al-fitr (charity in the form of food) during Eid-al-Fitr. Meanwhile, many people from different places came to their village homes to celebrate the festival with their near endear ones.
 The stages were almost set for smooth holding of Eid prayers in the town of Gouripur and elsewhere. Due to rain most Eid congregations in this upazila were held in the mosques at around 9:30 .Besides, marking the Eid, Freedom Fighter Alhaj Nazim Uddin Ahmed MP, AL aspirants of coming election for Mymensingh-3(Gouripur) like central leader Krishibid Doctor Shameul Alam Liton, former Assist General Secretary of Bangabandhu Foundation Naznin Alam; Mayor Syed Rafiqul Islam; Md. Murshedujjaman Selim, Assistant Secretary of Sub-committee at Bangladesh Awami League; former Upazila AL President Freedom Fighter Adv. Abul Kalam Azad; former Upazila Chairman Ali Ahmed Khan Pathhan Salvee; Rabeya Islam Doly, Upazila Vice Chairman; Principal A.K.M Abdur Rafique; District AL leader GM Babul (VP Babul) greeted party men as well as the Muslims across Gouripur upazila.
Baraigram (Natore) Correspondent reports: The greatest religious festival of the Muslims, Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated in Natore with great enthusiasms, due to religious fervour, solemnity and in a befitting manner on Saturday.
The biggest Eid congregation was held at Natore Central Eidgah Maidan where Member of Parliament (MP) of Natore -2 seat Shafikul Islam Shimul, Natore Zila Parishad Chairman Adv Sazedur Rahman Khan, Natore Upazila Parishad Chairman Shariful Islam Ramzan with senior officials, leaders of political parties, elite of the town, professionals and journalists performed their Eid prayers. The first congregation was held at 7.45 and the second was held at 8.45. The first congregation was conducted by Moulana Mofizur Rahman and the second congregation by Hafez Moulana Golam Mastafa Sarder at this Natore Central Eidgah Maidan. Both Moulanas prayed for nation and country wanting development, blessing etc. Besides, Eid congregations were held at Natore Central Masjid, Garikhana Masjid, Bus Termina Masjid, Harishpur Eidgah field. Also, bigger Eid Jamaats were held in all other seven upazila headquarters, pouroshavas and rural areas of the district.

Main Eid congregation (jamaat) of Rajshahi divisional city was held on Shahmukhdum (R) Central Eidgah at 8.00 am. Principal of Shahmukhdum (R) JamiyaIslamia Madrasa Mufti Shahadat Ali conducted the large prayers.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, MP, Fazley Hossain Badsha, MP, City Mayor Musaddeque Hossain Bulbul, former Mayor AHM KhairuzzamanLiton, senior divisional and district level officials including Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner Noor-Ur-Rahman and Deputy Commissioner SM Abdul Kader and local elites offered their Eid prayers at the main Eidjamaat.
The second and third largest Eid congregations were held at Shaheb Bazar and Tikpara city Eidgah respectively at the same time.
Besides, some other big Eidjamaats in the city were held at Hatemkha, Stadium Ground, Shalbagan, Alif Lam Meem Bhata Eidgah, Police Line Parade Ground, Tikapara Eidgah, Mohisbathan Eidgah math, Upashahar Eidgah Moidan, RUET campus and Rajshahi University campus.
Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) decorated the city’s important points and road islands with national and colourful flags inscribed with “Eid Mubarak” both in Bangla and Arabic.
In addition to the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police, the district, upazila and police administrations took adequate security measures to celebrate the festival in a peaceful way.
BSS from Netrakona adds: Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the biggest religious festivals of the Muslims, was celebrated on Saturday in the district town as elsewhere of the country with due solemnity, religious fervor and pomp and gaiety.
The main Eid jamaat (congregation) of the district was held at Netrakona Central Jam-e-Mosque at 9 am. Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy, Netrakona Deputy Commissioner Main-ul-Islam, Netrakona Pourasabha Mayor Nazrul Islam Khan, district-level officers, political leaders, civil society members and people from all walks of life joined the congregation.
Chief imam of the Jam-e-mosque Azizur Rahman conducted the Eid prayers.
