Eid shopping in Kishoreganj gaining momentum

Eid shopping is reaching climax in Kishoreganj town with each passing day, witnessing heavy charge of buyers in almost all markets and shopping centers.
 On the other hand, shop-keepers appear very happy because of pleasing sales all day long, particularly after Iftar.
Of the shopping malls, New Market, Municiple Market, Isha Khan Shopping Complex, Anwara Super Market, Bhuiyan Market, Shamsuddin Super Market, Rahmania Plaza, Chowdhury Plaza, Nirala Tower, Islamia Super Maket, M. M. Shopping Complex, Tarri Potty, Madhabi Plaza, Bara Bazar, Alokaloy, Gouranga Bazar, Rathkhola and Cadet Iqbal Plaza.
Buyers, both males and female main choices are sari, salwar kamiz, panjabi, caps, shoes, sandals, cosmetics, jewellery, furniture and home decoration items.
Naznin Hafiz resident of Tarapasha, purchased a set of panjabi her husband for Tk. 2400. The price is slightly higher compared with last year’s she said.
Variety of price in sari is seen in the New Markets, Rahmania Plaza & Anwara Super Market areas at a range of Tk. 1,000 to Tk. 15,000. Panjabi is also selling at Tk 900 to Tk. 8,000 only.
It was the same scene at Terri Potty Market, a popular shopping hub for middle class women, where shoppers gather in large groups during Ramadan.
Mahmuda Begum Shelly a school teacher told his correspondent at Isha Khan Road in front of a Nirala Tower said that she bought only three pieces of sarees for relatives as against the pieces last year. She blamed high prices and traffic hazard for purchasing lesser number of saris.
